Defining a Preferred Future
Conversation. Design. Implementation.

A better process; better results
It seems that people either love strategic planning – or they just cannot imagine another meeting where people blue sky. Or worse, having a new “strategic plan” dropped on your desk after a few people spent the day at a hotel conference room – and they decided this is the way forward.
We don’t see much benefit to either approach either.
Our experience confirms that useful strategic plans that can be implemented are all about listening – organizations listening to their colleagues and clients to learn what they need for the future.
Our process is a repeatable process
There are four steps in our process for designing a strategic plan – we follow them every time we embark on supporting a client in discovering and designing their preferred future. These four simple steps provide the structure for meaningful conversation that supports designing a plan that is attainable, measurable, and ready for implementation.

Align things
Aligning things is all about listening – listening to you in the workplace – your needs, hopes, and aspirations. Together we build an attainable plan for developing a strategic plan together.
Engage people
Conversations, interviews, surveys. It’s all about listening to the voice of the organization to discern the requirements being communicated by those whom you serve.
Design the plan
Using a collection of traditional planning tools, with a few specialized facilitation tools, we support and facilitate the development of a plan for the future.
Move to action
Our track record illustrates our commitment to supporting the implementation of your plan for the future. Implementation is work; and successful implementation is the goal.
