Nestled along the southern shore of Burrard Inlet, right in the heart of Vancouver British Columbia, are the popular Jericho, Locarno, and Spanish Banks Beaches. A short walk west leads to the rugged Acadia Beach and the start of Foreshore Park and hiking trails. This little piece of beach has always held a special place for me, and now it serves as the inspiration for the name of Four Shores Consulting.
The blue orb in the logo represents the world and all the possibilities; the four waves are a nod to the waves that land upon the beach at Foreshore. They represent the four themes in the strategic planning approach we take in all our projects:
- Align Things: identifying a project sponsor, leadership team, and the purpose and desired outcome for the project.
- Engage People: listening to understand the needs and motivation for the project – the hopes and expectations for the future.
- Design a Plan: Together with the leadership team and others, develop an attainable plan for the future.
- Move to Action: Supporting the roll out of the plan and the action steps to accomplish the desired outcome of the project.
The four little waves in the logo represent something dear and important in my life. If we are ever in conversation and you would like to know more, please ask.
The images at the top of the pages are from Foreshore Beach area – if you are ever there, you will experience why it is both an anchor and an inspiration.
